Labelon Hong Kong expands due to increased demand
Over the last year, Labelon Hong Kong has more than tripled its thermal print capacity and has extended the facilities to create a much larger and more efficient thermal production department.
In addition the team has increased its warehousing capacity by 30% to meet customers’ needs for more stocked items and goods available for immediate call off.
Kelly Duffy is the commercial director in the Far East and is responsible for developing the Hong Kong business. “Being able to hold more items in stock means shorter lead times for our customers, which is very important in the fast-moving retail sector.
“Plus changing from litho to thermal overprint production for variable data tickets (where the retailers design allows) means that we can reduce lead times for ten working days to five and gives us the flexibility to help customers with 24 hour turnaround on some exceptionally urgent orders.
“This production method is also much more cost effective for smaller print runs. In recent times we have seen the average order size reduce by more than 50% and this production method enables us to maintain quality and offer low minimum order quantities saving our customers money.”
