At the Needle Point of Production
As with any industry, garment manufacturers are always looking for ways to save on costs. A major factor is the search for locations where production expenses can be kept to a minimum. In 2006 Labelon started its first joint venture sending production of its product range to India. Since its success another partnership has been forged in 2009 introducing business to Sri Lanka. We are a customer lead company and they are taking our business to where the manufacture is happening. We are able to cut lead times; shipping costs and at the same time we’re reducing our carbon footprint. With 5 sites across the globe, Labelon were already well placed to meet the needs of our customers however, we are always striving to improve efficiency and cut costs both in house and for our clients. The introduction of joint ventures and plans for two further locations in Pakistan and Bangladesh in 2010 will keep Labelon at the point of manufacture. Operations manager, Marc Burlong commented, “Since Labelons first development of joint ventures it’s proven to be cost effective for us and we can pass that onto our customers, Labelon is now at the needle point of Global supply” |
